The index matches code and documentation by meaning and exact terms. It filters out files made up only of credentials and redacts inline private keys before indexing, while keeping code searchable without summarizing every file.

Cactus stores each source summary with a citation to at least one real passage. When generated citations don't match indexed content, it falls back to the source's first passage.
