MCP sessions last up to 24 hours and can recover when a compatible client sends valid authorization, so it can keep searching and asking without reinitializing.

Longer-lived MCP sessions

A valid authorization header lets Cactus open a replacement session after an expiry or server restart. MCP clients can use search and ask, inline citations display without a blocked label, and conversation history loads through the threads endpoint.
