Customer Help Center
Customers can browse and ask in the Help Center. Teams can connect Slack and Discord, use Cactus through AI clients, host help on a custom domain, set page audiences, shape maps and layouts with Rules, and work conversations in Inbox.
Ask and revisit Help Center threads.
The Help Center shows a visitor’s first question on its answer page while Cactus responds, and signed-in customers can return to their threads across devices.
Suggested questions skip page titles. Choose public or team-only access, and visitors can reach a person where a handoff is set up.
Connect Slack and Discord.
Connect Slack and Discord for customer questions.
Slack threads continue after Cactus’s first answer without another mention, and teammates can investigate code, manage handoffs, and leave feedback. Discord adds /cactus ask, /cactus status, and /cactus link, and long answers fit its message limit.
Connect AI clients to Cactus.
The AI clients page gives you setup links and instructions for compatible clients, plus a record of who connected.
Through MCP, clients can ask, investigate, and read product knowledge. The public Help Center endpoint offers visitors only the tools their access allows, and answers render links and cite relevant pages.
Custom Help Center addresses.
Each product’s Help Center gets its own Cactus subdomain, and you can connect one custom hostname as its canonical address.
Add a CNAME record; Cactus verifies the hostname and issues its certificate over that connection.

Choose page audiences.
Choose whether each help page is just for you, for your team, or public.
Save an answer as a page at one of those audiences; public pages still go through the writer’s check that they belong on the Help Center.
Ask what shipped between dates.
Ask what shipped between dates across Messenger, the Help Center, the app, Slack, Discord, and AI clients.
Results use each release’s ship date, link to pages you can open, and page through the full date window. Teammates see commit details; visitors see published releases.
Ask Cactus in Inbox threads.
In Inbox, add an internal note or customer reply from the same composer.
Ask Cactus on the thread or draft a reply from the live conversation; drafts stay unsaved until you send them. While a handoff is open, the composer defaults to an internal note.
Shape product knowledge with Rules.
Choose which Cactus agents follow each Rule: the map, page layout, page writing, answers, or What’s New.
Map and layout Rules trigger a full rebuild, while page-writing Rules refresh pages that use their source words. Build history shows which Rules shaped each run and links to them in Settings.
